NASDAQ

のナスダックのビルNASDAQ（ナスダック、National Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quotations）は、1971年に全米証券業協会（NASD）の主催で開設されたアメリカ合衆国にある世界最大の新興企業（ベンチャー）向け株式市場である。

概要

情報技術の普及・浸透により誕生した取引の一形態である。取引所とは異なり、距離の離れたマーケット事業者がコンピュータネットワークを使用して売買気配値を提示する。
近年はインターネット・情報技術関連企業がこぞって市場に参入するようになった。2000年にはインターネット・バブルにより、株価指標の「ナスダック総合指数」が6000ポイントに迫る勢いを見せた。ニューヨーク市内タイムズスクウェア (ニューヨーク州)|タイムズスクエアの一角には上場企業の株価を100台以上の大型テレビで表示する「ナスダックマーケットサイト」があり、テレビメディアがここから最新の動向を伝え、巨大テレビを利用して株価を表示したりする。また、ビルの外壁一面にLEDディスプレイが取り付けてあり、広告効果が高い。

歴史

:''参照：''証券取引を開始した日時は1971年2月8日。世界初の電子株式市場として、世界中の注目を集めた。その後自動取引システムを導入し、コンピューターシステムの証券取引市場であることを強調した。それにより多くの企業が集まり、取引高ランキングで世界第3位に入る巨大市場と化した。2007年5月、スウェーデンの証券取引所運営会社OMXと経営統合で合意。同年末までに新会社「NASDAQ OMXグループ」を発足させると発表した。

プレ・マーケットトレーディング時間 7:00〜9:30

立会時間 9:30〜16:00

アフターマーケット時間 16:00〜20:00取引時間いずれも米国東部標準時(EST)立会時間は日本の取引所のように前場・後場と昼の休憩による中断はない。(取引中断はないが、相場の参加者は少なくなるため、取引が少なくなる。)

関連する取引所

日本でも2000年に大阪証券取引所と提携した「NASDAQ JAPAN」（ナスダック・ジャパン）市場を開設したが、24時間取引の是非やシステム上の問題なども絡み、2002年12月に提携を解消。後に「ヘラクレス_(有価証券市場)|ニッポン・ニュー・マーケット ヘラクレス」に改めることとなった。直接NASDAQとは関係ないが、日本において新興企業向け証券取引所としてジャスダック証券取引所（JASDAQ）がある（上記のNASDAQ JAPANとも関係がない）。大韓民国|韓国にも新興企業向け店頭株式市場として「KOSDAQ」（コスダック）が存在したが、2005年1月26日に韓国証券取引所および韓国先物取引所と合併し、現在は「韓国取引所」（略称：KRX）となっている。
